Baltimore Adult Soccer League Week 2 Recap
Let the goals begin…
In just the 2nd week of the Baltimore Adult Soccer League, teams are already starting to hit their stride. With a total of 13 goals scored across the 5 games, the total goal count was 1 away from doubling the week 1 numbers. Jonalyn Denlinger, Kojo Boateng, Mark Black, and Lisa Woodard are tied for the early golden boot lead with 2 goals a piece. Edgar Allan Pwns, BME Banshees, Bend It Like Boh, and Norfolk-in-Chance sit atop the league standing with 4 points each.
Our amateur sideline reporter wasn’t present this week, but a few stories have made their way around.
- Bend It Like Boh made a strategic change to throw all three ladies up top. This unorthodox move worked out for the squad quite well and propelled them to a victory.
- The team in Orange drew first blood against the BME Banshees with a goal by Joel Blaine. BME Banshees battled back with a sweet equalizer by Shannon Gregor as she lofted the ball over the keeper. This goal seemed to shift the momentum a bit and the Banshees’ Thomas Reppert knocked in the go ahead goal.
- Perhaps one of the biggest surprises of the week, The House Wins suffered a 6 goal turnaround from week 1 by going from a 3-0 victory to a 0-3 loss against Edgar Allan Pwns. The House Wins had some shots on goal but didn’t have the finishing ability of EAP.
