General Information
The 2012 BASL outdoor league is almost here! If you are an individual, a full team, or even a partial team, we have a place for you.
- Dates: Saturdays – June 16, 2012 - August 25, 2012
- Time: Typically 8:30AM – 6:00PM – schedule will be published upon registration’s end
- Style: 11 v 11 (8 men, 3 women)
- Location:Bonvegna Field in Canton (across from Du Burns Arena)**
- Format:
- 8 game regular season
- Top teams advance to single elimination Champions Bracket
- Top scorer wins “Golden Boot” award
- Fees: Cover jerseys, field rental, ref fees, and field equipment
- Free Agent:
- Early Registration: $70 (before May 19th)
- Late Registration: $75
- Team: (min 0f 15 players per team)

*Rainouts may be played on Sunday.
**In the event of high volume, we may expand to other facilities, but majority of games will be played in Canton.
Registration
Online registration is here for your convenience! Please follow the appropriate directions and link in this section – we have registration for individuals (“free agents”), teams, and partial teams.
Free Agent Registration
Free Agent registration is pretty simple:
- Fill out the free agent registration form on our site.
- Make a note in the comments if there is a friend you would like to be put with – we don’t guarantee placement together, but make every attempt to do so.
- Submit your payment in full to reserve your spot.
- You’ll receive an e-mail a week or two before the season notifying you if you were placed with a team.
Team Registration
Team registration is for full teams that have at least 15 players on their roster. The process for registration is as follows:
- Captains create a team on our new registration site.
- Pay the deposit amount to officially reserve a spot.
- Fill out the roster(including the captain) on our registration site and submit.
- Each player will receive an e-mail and can use the link to register and pay.
- All players must be registered by the end of registration.
*Note: You may tweak your roster the first 3 weeks of the season and then it is set. Only those on the roster will be allowed to play in playoffs. Any additions to the original roster will be responsible for the $75 fee. Note that late adds will take a couple of weeks to get jerseys.

Our Purpose
The Baltimore Adult Soccer League (BASL) provides a well run, fun opportunity for adult soccer players of all experience levels to socialize and compete via the “Beautiful Game”. Whether you are a former college player or haven’t touched a soccer ball since you were a kid, this league is for you. By using Canton’s Bonvegna field, BASL seeks to provide a high-quality, convenient location for our games. With open-minded and friendly staff, we look forward to working (and playing) with all of you to make sure this is the best recreational adult soccer league that Baltimore has to offer.
Our History
After moving to Baltimore in July of 2009, our founder, Mike LeJeune, quickly realized that few adult rec soccer leagues existed. The few that he found were in distant suburbs, on poor fields, and/or were poorly run. After meeting fellow soccer lovers in Fells Point, Canton, and surrounding areas he knew there was an opportunity to bring a fun, competitive league to the area – BASL was formed. As with any new league there will undoubtedly be growing pains, but we look forward to improving with your feedback each season.
